Team Kaobon’s Andy ‘Little Axe’ Ogle will return to the cage in October, when he takes on ATT’s Cole Miller at UFC Fight Night 30.
The featherweight clash has just been confirmed by UFC UK, set to take place in Manchester, UK.
Ogle (9-2) was forced to withdraw from his previously scheduled bout against Conor McGregor in August, but his turnaround has been a relatively quick one. He got his biggest career victory to date in February when he defeated Josh Grispi via decision in London, and he’ll be hoping to use that momentum to continue climbing the ladder.
Ogle garnered many fans when he featured on The Ultimate Fighter, and he was given a shot in the UFC by Dana White following his performances at 155lbs. His official Octagon debut was a close decision loss to Hamid ‘Akira’ Corassani.
Ogle’s opponent, Cole Miller (19-8), is much more experienced, and has been around the UFC since his own stint on TUF 5 in 2007. Originally campaigning at lightweight, he dropped to 145lbs last year, but hasn’t had his best run of form there.
With fourteen UFC bouts, posting an 8-6 record, Miller has fought some of the best in the world, but with three losses in his last four it seems like victory is essential. He has wins over the likes of Ross Pearson, Bart Palaszewski and Jorge Gurgel.
Both will see winning as a necessity, but for very different reasons. It’s an intriguing matchup, and it should catch the eye of the UK fans heading to the Phones4U Arena.
The event will be headlined by a middleweight clash between Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz.
